About the opportunity
SSI has partnered with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to deliver Local Area Coordination Services in NSW. As a Local Area Coordinator (LAC), SSI supports people aged 7 and over to access the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and other mainstream services in the community.
The Quality Assurance Officer will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the LAC Program’s Quality Framework by adopting a systematic approach that includes the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and resources, as agreed with senior managers of the LAC program.
About your experience
- Previous experience in a similar role or qualifications in quality framework design and implementation, project management and/or advanced report writing;
- High level written communication and analytical skills with experience in writing, developing and implementing policies and procedures in a human services sector;
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships and liaise across all levels both internally, externally and with people from diverse backgrounds;
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision, manage a variety of tasks and display personal drive and integrity;
- Experience working in a not-for-profit community organisation highly advantageous
- Previous experience and knowledge of the NDIS would be highly advantageous;
- Awareness and recognition of cultural diversity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and CALD communities; and
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours and in a range of locations across areas and regions as required.
